About Karass Charis Coaching

Hi. I’m Carissa Van Ausdall, a seasoned professional skilled in financial analysis, strategic planning, and organizational management. With a Master's in Public Administration (MPA), I’ve dedicated my career to serving in the nonprofit sector.

I’m committed to innovative problem-solving and collaborative leadership, navigating complex organizational landscapes while maintaining a focus on the journey, and let’s face it, the results.

But my favorite job is being a mom to two littles. When I had my daughter, I struggled to accept that I couldn't be 100% committed to my career and 100% committed at home. I felt like I was failing everyone. The guilt only grew after I had my son. It wasn’t until I started to understand that integrating my two worlds was not just acceptable, but imperative, that I began to feel like myself again, like a whole person, like someone I enjoyed being.

In a nation where the average American spends more hours working than on any other waking activity, I founded Karass Charis Coaching with a simple yet powerful vision: we should all have the opportunity to bring our full, authentic selves to work and find genuine meaning in what we do.

As I pursue my PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, I've become increasingly convinced that the artificial divide between our "professional" and "personal" lives serves neither ourselves nor our organizations. The approach at Karass Charis integrates both domains, recognizing that sustainable performance comes when we nurture the whole person.

Through one-on-one coaching and targeted group workshops, we help individuals and teams discover their unique strengths, navigate workplace challenges, and cultivate environments where authenticity and excellence go hand in hand.
